Blackhawks, Bulls, White Sox Unite For Charity Race

In a first for charity fundraising between Chicago sports teams, the Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox are hosting the “Home Team Charity Run” on Sunday, April 3, 2011. A portion of proceeds from the race will be split among the charities for those three teams.

The run will be a 10K and will start at the United Center and finish at U.S. Cellular Field. If you participate, you'll pick the team you want to represent and get a team-branded moisture-wicking long sleeve jersey.

After the race, there will be a post-run fest at the Cell where there will be food and beverages and performances from local bands, including Chicago singer and songwriter Michael McDermott. In addition, former Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox players will be at the festival for photo and autograph opportunities, and 500 runners will be randomly selected to have their photo taken with the White Sox and Bulls championship trophies.
