After hitting more than 20 HR's in each of his four seasons with the Chicago White Sox, it appears that Carlos Quentin has played his last game in the Windy City. According to Jon Morosi of FoxSports.com, the White Sox have traded Quentin to the San Diego Padres in exchange for two pitchers:
@jonnmorosi:
#Padres acquire Carlos Quentin from#WhiteSox for RHP Simon Castro and LHP Pedro Hernandez. Rebuild continues.@jonmorosi: Simon Castro and Pedro Hernandez, pitchers the
#WhiteSox obtained for Quentin, peaked at Class AAA this year.
Neither of the prospects that the White Sox received in this trade have made it past the AAA level. In his two seasons in AAA, Simon Castro has a 9.50 ERA in just 36 innings. Pedro Hernandez has made just four appearances at the AAA level and has a 6.0 ERA over 18 innings.
