Wednesday was a special night at Toyota Park. With the Chicago Fire hosting mighty Real Salt Lake in Chicago, the Fire used to opportunity to honor former defender C.J. Brown. Brown, now is an assistant coach for Real Salt Lake, was inducted in Chicago's Ring of Fire. The festivities were the highlight of the night as the Fire and Real Salt Lake ended in a 0-0 tie. The Fire now stand at 3-2-3. Real Salt Lake is 7-3-2.
According to SB Nation's Chicago Fire blog Hot Time In Old Town, the last time the Fire were involved in a 0-0 draw was June 22, 2011, also against Real Salt Lake. The last time the Fire shutout an opponent was also against Real Salt Lake on September 28, 2011 at Rio Tinto.
