The Chicago Fire went without a jersey sponsor in 2011 after Best Buy declined to renew its deal with the team, but now it appears that the Fire have found a new sponsor in Quaker Oats. According to a report from ChicagoBusiness, com, the two sides are finalizing a deal that would pay the Fire $1.3 to $1.5 million annually.
It's significantly less than the team's previous deal, though.
[Best Buy] reportedly paid the Fire about $2.5 million to have its logo plastered on the front of the team's jersey.
Chicago's deal with Quaker, assuming it is finalized, is set to begin with the 2012 season.
