Cubs Vs. Padres Preview: Chicago's West Coast Trip Continues In San Diego

Chicago opens a series in San Diego on Monday.

The Chicago Cubs will wrap up a six-game road trip with a series in San Diego, and they'll be looking to put a five-game losing streak behind them. The Padres, meanwhile, have won two of their last three games.

Like the Cubs, the Padres have struggled to produce at the plate for much of the 2012 season -- they rank 14th in the NL in runs and 16th in OPS.

Travis Wood (4-7, 4.90 ERA) is scheduled to start Monday's game for the Cubs, and Eric Stults (1-2, 3.11) is set to pitch for San Diego.
