Cubs Vs. Reds Preview: Chris Volstad Looks To Snap 23-Game Winless Streak

Chicago Cubs right-hander Chris Volstad hasn't won a game in his last 23 starts, a number that dates all the way back to last season. The 25-year-old will be looking to snap that streak on Sunday afternoon at Great American Ballpark in the team's series finale against the Cincinnati Reds.

Volstad is 0-9 with an ERA of 6.96 in 12 outings so far in the 2012 Cubs campaign, and against the Reds, he's given up eight earned runs in just over 11 innings on the mound.

Volstad's struggles are indicative of the Cubs team that has lost 14 of its last 18 games and are currently in fifth place in the NL Central, which the Reds currently lead.

First pitch of Sunday's game will be at 1:10 p.m. ET.
