Cubs Vs. Mets Score Update: Chicago Leads 7-2 In The 5th Inning

A five-run fifth inning has helped the Chicago Cubs build a 7-2 edge on Johan Santana and the New York Mets. The big hit of the inning was a three-run home run by Anthony Rizzo; Jeff Baker hit a solo shot a couple of at-bats later and Luis Valbuena capped the inning with an RBI single.

Reed Johnson got the Cubs started with a home run to lead off the game. The Mets came back with one run in the second and one run in the third before Joe Mather tied the game at two with a sac fly in the fourth.

Cubs starter Travis Wood has given up four hits and walked three batters in four innings of work.
