The Chicago White Sox are trying to get their veteran right-hander, SP Jake Peavy, to the All-Star Game. The 31-year-old Peavy is up for the Final Man vote, which allows fans to vote for the last roster spot on the AL and NL All-Star teams.
According to the MLB's official Twitter account, Peavy is gaining ground on the top vote-getter, rookie SP Yu Darvish:
NON-TWITTER UPDATE: Bourn officially in 2nd place in NL, closing in on Freese. Peavy continuing push, 61% more votes than Yu in last hour.

The voting concludes at 3:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday afternoon, and until that time, any tweet including the hastag #takejake will count as a vote towards Peavy.
