The Chicago Cubs are struggling to move SP Ryan Dempster as the veteran righty appears reluctant to accept a trade to the Atlanta Braves, the team from which the Cubs are getting the best offers.
But, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, the team might be willing to throw a little extra money Dempster's way in order to get him more keen on the South:

Dempster, 35, is having a career year with the Cubs, sporting a 2.25 ERA and 3.40 FIP through 104 innings.
