Jon Morosi of FOX Sports is reporting the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Dodgers are haflway towards potentially trading veteran ace SP Ryan Dempster:
Source with knowledge of #Dodgers - #Cubs dialogue says "50/50" chance teams get deal done for Ryan Dempster. Still discussing prospects.

The 35-year-old Dempster is in the middle of a career year with the Cubs, sporting an absurd 1.86 ERA and a solid 3.13 FIP through 14 starts.
The veteran righty is in the final year of his contract with the Cubs, and though the team has reportedly explored signing him to an extension, Chicago has summoned a Triple-A pitcher in anticipation of a possible deal going down before his start on Friday night.
