Ryan Dempster Trade Rumors: Tigers, Dodgers Showing Most Interest, According To Report

Chicago Cubs starter Ryan Dempster continues to be one of the best pitchers in the National League, and most indications are that he will likely be traded sooner rather than later. Jon Paul Morosi of FOX wrote this morning that it wouldn't be a surprise if Dempster was traded within the next week, and that two teams have emerged as the most likely partners for the veteran.

Those teams are the Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers have reportedly been very active on the trade front, even agreeing to a deal with the Houston Astros for first baseman Carlos Lee that was invalidated by Lee's no-trade clause. The Tigers have also been rumored to be actively seeking pitching help, and Dempster will likely be the best starter on the market after Cole Hamels and Zack Greinke.
