Diamondbacks Vs. Cubs Preview: Chicago's Record At Wrigley Field Can Go Over .500 With Win On Saturday

Despite the rain delays and bad weather, the Chicago Cubs got off to a good start in the second half of the season by defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-1 on Friday. Strong offensive performances from Alfonso Soriano and Anthony Rizzo helped the Cubs build a big lead, while solid pitching from Paul Maholm allowed Chicago to keep their advantage and earn the win.

On Saturday, the Cubs will look to open the second half with a winning streak, as Ryan Dempster (4-3, 1.99 ERA) takes the mound opposite Arizona starter Joe Saunders (4-5, 3.44 ERA). Chicago also has a chance to push their home record (20-20) over the .500 mark with a win.

Game date/time: Saturday, July 14, 12:05 p.m. CT

Location: Wrigley Field, Chicago, IL
