The Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks had to pause their game preparations on Friday as their matinee game was hit with a Chicago summer storm. The results were a fairly trenched Wrigley Field and a flooded bullpen:

Which led to some speculation the team might have to call the game off as the waters at first seemed to hang around:

But shortly after the precipitation cleared, the flood waters began to withdraw, paving way for a delayed start:
