Cubs Vs. Twins Score Update: Chicago Continues To Struggle

On the heels of a three-game losing streak, things seem to be getting worse for the Chicago Cubs, as they trail the Minnesota Twins, 11-1, through six innings on Saturday.

The Twins have scored in four of the six innings, including a six-run fourth inning that pushed the lead to 8-0. Trevor Plouffe has been terrific at the plate for the Twins, recording two hits, including a home-run, and driving in four runs to help give Minnesota the comfortable lead. Joe Mauer has three hits and has driven in two runs.

The Cubs lone run of the game was driven in by Reed Johnson, who has two hits so far. Jeff Samardzija really struggled on the mound, allowing eight earned runs in just 3.2 innings. Samardzija gave up nine hits and really labored throughout the 3.2 innings.
