A day ago, the Chicago Cubs gave starter Ryan Dempster his first win of the season in a 10-0 victory over the Brewers. On Wednesday, Milwaukee turned the tables in Miller Park by cruising to an 8-0 victory over the Cubs. The North Siders drop to 19-37 with the loss, while Milwaukee improves to 25-31.
The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when Milwaukee exploded for four runs. Reigning MVP Ryan Braun started the damage by ripping a double to deep left to score right fielder Norichika Aoki. Cody Ransom and second baseman Brooks Conrad would each add RBIs before the inning ended.
Zack Greinke improved to 7-2 on the season by allowing only two hits and striking out 12 over seven innings.
