Cubs Vs. Brewers Final Score: Ryan Dempster Finally Earns His 1st Win

It took him 10 tries, but Ryan Dempster finally has his first win of the season. The Chicago Cubs' Opening Day starter allowed three hits while striking out three over seven scoreless innings as the North Siders earned a 10-0 victory at Miller Park on Tuesday. The Cubs improve to 19-36 on the season, while Milwaukee falls to 24-31.

The Cubs scored three runs in the first, all thanks to Alfonso Soriano's ninth homer of the season. Bryan LaHair would crank his 11th homer in the fourth. Chicago kept piling runs in the eighth and ninth to push a five-run lead into blowout territory.

Shortstop Starlin Castro went 3-for-5 with a run in the win. Three Chicago pitchers combined to hold the Brewers to just five hits on the night.
