The latest word from FOXSports reporter Ken Rosenthal suggests the Chicago Cubs may have a potential trade partner in the Atlanta Braves, who may covet SP Matt Garza's consistency:
According to Rosenthal, the Braves young trio of pitchers -- Mike Minor, Julio Teheran and Randall Delgado -- may be on the table if they can acquire Garza:
The Braves remain high on Mike Minor, Julio Teheran and Randall Delgado, but they're looking for more consistency in their rotation. If they can get a difference-maker such as Matt Garza, they could include on of those three in a deal.
Garza has been one of the Cubs' better pitchers since joining the team via trade in 2011, finishing the 2011 season with a 3.32 ERA and 2.95 FIP. He currently sports a 4.06 ERA and 4.00 FIP.
