The Anthony Rizzo project continues for the last-place Chicago Cubs, as they host the Houston Astros (the second-worst NL Central team) for a three-game set over the weekend. In game one on Friday afternoon, Paul Maholm (4-6, 5.38 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs, while the Astros will counter with Bud Norris (5-4, 4.81 ERA). Maholm has endured a rough month of June, posting a 6.93 ERA and 1.74 WHIP while allowing 35 hits over 24.2 innings during that span.

The obvious bright spot is super-prospect Anthony Rizzo, who debuted for the Cubs on Tuesday and is 3-for-8 with two doubles so far this season.

Game 1 Date & Time: Friday, June 29, 1:20 p.m. CT

TV: WGN
