To the surprise of no one who has been paying attention, the Chicago Cubs called up top prospect Anthony Rizzo on Monday afternoon. The only thing keeping the first baseman in Triple-A Iowa was his service clock, and with that hurdled cleared last Friday, it was only a matter of time before the Cubs finally promoted their highly touted slugger. After torching opposing pitchers for a .345 batting average to go along with 23 homers and 62 RBI, it's safe to say Rizzo has proven without a doubt he could handle minor league pitching. Now he'll get his chance at Wrigley Field when he makes his Chicago debut on Tuesday against the New York Mets.
Got Rizzo fever? Of course you do. Don't worry, there's already a jersey-shirt with his name on the back waiting for you. Just $26.99!
WrigleyvilleSports is the place to get it. Assuming Rizzo hits the way everyone expects him to, this j-shirt is sure to be a hot seller.
