The Chicago Cubs have been outscored 16-6 in Arizona this weekend, and they'll put the ball in the hand of Matt Garza on Sunday to see if he can be of any help reversing the trend. Opposing him will be Arizona Diamondbacks starter Wade Miley, who has racked up an impressive 8-3 record in only 11 starts this season.
Garza, on the other hand, hasn't been so lucky, and not just when it comes to his win-loss record. The Cubs starter has in many respects had one of the best seasons of his career: his WHIP is at 1.11, his K/9 is nearing nine and opponents are only hitting .223 against him. He has mostly been plagued by an unsustainably high HR/FB rate, which at 15.7 percent is nearly double his career norm. Unfortunately for him, the Diamondbacks have the fourth most home home runs in the NL.
Game date/time: Sunday, June 24, 3:10 p.m. CT
Location: Chase Field, Phoenix, Ariz.
