Cubs Vs. White Sox Final Score: Travis Wood Keys 2-1 Victory For North Siders

Travis Wood finally has his first victory as a member of the Chicago Cubs. Wood allowed just four hits and one earned run during a 2-1 Cubs victory at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday night. Carlos Marmol nailed down his fourth save of the year to seal the victory for the North Siders.

Alexei Ramirez started the scoring for the White Sox in the second with a ground rule double to score Alex Rios. The Cubs would take the lead for good when David DeJesus singled to right to score Geovany Soto and Tony Campana. That's how it would end, as neither team scored after the top of the third.

Jake Peavy can't catch a break. The Sox starter pitched a complete game, allowing only five hits and one earned run while striking out five. He threw 125 pitches on the night.
