After Monday's game against the Cubs, Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks told reporters he has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 subscapularis muscle tear in his left shoulder, but that the injury would not require surgery. The team took the opportunity to clarify the injury report on on Tuesday via Twitter, calling it a strain and noting that the MRIs revealed no tendon or ligament damage and confirmed that Dank's labrum is intact.

Danks will also begin a rehab and strength program on Friday, and the Sox will monitor his progress going forward.
