It appears that the Chicago Cubs will activate catcher prior to Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox given that he's currently written into the team's starting lineup. Soto has been on the disabled list since mid-May, but it appears that his absence will finally come to an end on Monday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
Back on May 19, the Cubs placed Soto on the disabled list with a partial tear in his left meniscus, and he began a minor league rehab assignment roughly one week ago. He struggled badly in 28 games this season before hitting the DL, posting a .161/.250/.301 line, so hopefully his improved health will lead to better numbers.
