The Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves headed into the eighth inning tied 1-1 on Tuesday at Wrigley Field, but Dan Uggla clubbed a two-run single off Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood in the eighth to give Atlanta a 3-1 victory.

The win moves the Braves to 19-12, while the North Siders fall to 12-18. Starter Ryan Dempster was against masterful for the Cubs, but still doesn't have a victory on the season. Dempster went seven innings and struck out seven while allowing six hits and just one run.

The Cubs scored their only run in the sixth inning when Alfonso Soriano drove in Tony Campana with a double to right field.

Craig Kimbrel nailed down his 10th save of the season for Atlanta to seal the victory.
