After finishing off a road trip, the Chicago Cubs are returning home on Friday to begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers have been one of baseball's best teams so far with a 17-8 record, but the series isn't as lopsided as it would seem considering the Cubs are 6-5 over their past 11 games.
Stopping Matt Kemp will be the tall task for Cubs pitchers in the series, as the Dodgers center fielder has lit up the league for a league-leading .411 batting average and 12 homers so far this season. With Chad Billingsley on the mound for Los Angeles, the Dodgers should be able to expect some pretty good pitching, too.
Lefty Paul Maholm is going for the Cubs on Friday as he tries to keep his recent success going. After a rough start to the season, Maholm has given up just two runs over 12 innings in his most recent two outings.
Game date/time: Friday, May 4, 1:20 p.m. CST
Location: Wrigley Field, Chicago, Ill.
TV: Comcast SportsNet
