Padres Vs. Cubs Preview: Nation League's Two Worst Teams Meet At Wrigley

The Chicago Cubs start a three-game series with the San Diego Padres on Monday.

The Chicago Cubs will try to avoid losing their 13th consecutive game when the San Diego Padres come to Wrigley on Monday afternoon for the start of a three-game series. It's a meeting of the two worst teams in the National League, with the North Siders entering at 15-32 and San Diego coming in at 17-32.

Travis Wood is set to start for the Cubs on Monday. He'll be opposed by San Diego's 37-year old right-hander Jeff Suppan.

Wood has made two starts for Chicago, and enters at 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. Suppan is 2-3 with a 4.21 ERA and 1.60 WHIP.
