The Houston Astros scored three runs in the second inning and four runs in the third against the Chicago Cubs on Monday night to grab a 7-0 lead after five innings at Minute Maid Park. Cubs started Matt Garza only lasted three innings after giving up the seven runs -- all earned. Meanwhile, Astros starter Bud Norris is rolling, allowing only four hits while striking out five. Norris has thrown 87 pitches through five.
Catcher Jason Castro hit a three-run homer to right in the second to start the scoring. Carlos Lee singled to left to score Jed Lowrie in the third to move Houston's lead to 4-0. Third baseman Chris Johnson would add a two-run homer to left two batters later. Garza's exit would soon follow.
