According to the Tribune's Paul Sullivan, newly-retired Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood is going to announce a new role with the organization on Saturday.

During his retirement press conference on Friday, Wood expressed his desire to continue to be a part of the Cubs organization in some capacity.
"I want to be a part of this team and organization for a long time," Wood said in his postgame press conference. "Baseball was the one thing I knew how to do and now (that part ) is over."
