Cubs Vs. Brewers Score Update: Chicago Holds 2-1 Lead In The 6th Inning

The Chicago Cubs have a 2-1 lead on the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixth inning thanks to home runs from Ian Kennedy and Reed Johnson. Johnson pinch-hit for Cubs starter Jeff Samardzija in the top of the sixth and promptly took Brewers starter Marco Estrada deep to give his team the lead.

Samardzija went five innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six batters. The Brewers picked up their lone run of the game in the fourth inning on a sac fly by Taylor Green.

At the plate, the Cubs have a total of five hits; David DeJesus, Starlin Castro and Tony Campana have hits in addition to the solo shots from Johnson and Kennedy.
