The Chicago Cubs could be only days away from some much-needed bullpen help. According to Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune, RP Kerry Wood could be poised to return in the series finale against the Cincinnati Reds:

Wood has only pitched 2 and 1/3 innings in 2012, but has sported an ERA under 3.50 for the previous two seasons. Chicago enters play on Monday with the 4th-worst bullpen ERA in the National League with 4.08.
RP Rafael Dolis and RP Shawn Camp lead the Cubs bullpen with 13.1 and 13.0 IP, while CL Carlos Marmol has pitched only 7.2 innings with a 5.87 ERA and 6.60 FIP.
