Cubs Vs. Phillies Score Update: Cubs Lead 3-0 After Four Innings

The Chicago Cubs are leading 3-0 over the Philadelphia Phillies after four innings of play on Sunday afternoon as starter Matt Garza rolls in his sixth outing of the season. The two teams split the first two games of their four-game series, which concludes on Monday.

Garza has been dealing so far, giving up just one hit while striking out five batters over four scoreless innings. Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick hasn't been nearly as successful, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk. He's allowed the Cubs to score one run apiece over each of the past three innings.

In the fourth inning, Joe Mather hit his first home run in a Cubs uniform to extend Chicago's lead to three runs.
