Kerry Wood Injury: Wood Pitches, No Timetable For Return

With Carlos Marmol having given up a game-tying two-run homer to Matt Holliday on Wednesday night, there are plenty of Chicago Cubs fans that would welcome the return of Kerry Wood to the bullpen. Wood has been on the disabled list since April 20 with a right shoulder injury, and though Wood threw off a mound on Tuesday according to the Chicago Tribune's Paul Sullivan, manager Dale Sveum said that there's currently no timetable for his return.

Wood has thrown 2.1 innings this year, striking out four, walking three and allowing three earned runs. He last appeared on April 13 vs. the St. Louis Cardinals.
