Reds Vs. Cubs Final Score: Chicago Loses To Cincinnati, 9-4

Chicago starter Chris Volstad had a rough afternoon, giving up six runs (five earned) on seven hits in five innings of work, and the Cubs lost to the Cincinnati Reds 9-4 on Friday afternoon. The loss was the sixth in a row for the Cubs, who fell to 3-11 overall this season.

Cincinnati scored four runs in the top of the first inning, and while the Cubs were able to cut the lead in half with a pair of runs in the third, that was as close as they'd get.

Bryan LaHair was the only Cubs batter to collect more than one hit on the afternoon; the team managed a total of five hits.
