Chicago starter Jay Jackson gave up three runs in four innings of work, but the bullpen held Arizona scoreless the rest of the way, and the Cubs used a big five-run sixth inning to beat the Diamondbacks 8-3 on Monday afternoon.

Kerry Wood was one of five relievers to help the Cubs to victory, and one of four to give up zero hits in an inning of work.
Geovani Soto hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, and both Aflonso Soriano and Jeff Baker each drove in two runs.
