The Milwaukee Brewers didn't waste much time grabbing control of their Tuesday evening contest with the Chicago Cubs. The Brewers used two home runs to get out to a five-run first inning. The decifiet proved too much for the Cubs to overcome, and Chicago lost 7-4. The loss drops Chicago to 1-4, while the Brewers improved to 3-2.
Alex Gonzalez homered off Cubs starter Paul Maholm in the first inning to drive in Aramis Ramirez and Corey Hart. Jonathan Lucroy would blast a solo homer to make it 5-0 before the Cubs even got a turn to bat.
Chicago would score three in the bottom of the third, sparked when David DeJesus and Darwin Barney scored on a Alfonso Soriano single to center.
