Cubs Vs. Brewers Lineups: Bryan LaHair Sits Against Lefty Chris Narveson

The Chicago Cubs (1-3) and the Milwaukee Brewers (2-2) send a pair of lefties to the mound in another early-season NL Central matchup.

Pitching for the Cubs will be free agent acquisition SP Paul Maholm. The 30-year-old Maholm, who joins Chicago after playing seven years with the Pittsburgh Pirates, sported a strong 3.66 ERA and 3.78 FIP in 2011. He squares off against fellow left-handed pitcher Chris Narveson.

The 30-year-old Narveson pitched 161 and 2/3 innings for the Brewers in 2011, but has been particularly effective against lefties, owning a 3.69 ERA on southpaws, but a 4.27 ERA against right-handed hitters. In a corresponding move, the Cubs will start INF Jeff Baker at first instead of lefty 1B Bryan LaHair.
