The Chicago Cubs (12-14) and the Cincinnati Reds (10-15) pair up on Tuesday afternoon in another Cactus League matchup. Toeing the mound for the Cubs, SP Matt Garza enters the game looking to nail down his control issues. Garza has started four games in the 2011 Spring Training season, finishing a total of 12 and 1/3 innings with a 5.84 ERA to go with 8 strikeouts and 6 walks.
Garza has secured the No. 2 role for the Cubs rotation after a stellar 2011 season, so his control issues probably do not concern the Cubs management too much, but it never hurts to dominate.
Here is today's lineup via the Cubs' Twitter account:
- RF David DeJesus
- 2B Darwin Barney
- LF Alfonso Soriano
- 1B Bryan LaHair
- 3B Joe Mather
- CF Marlon Byrd
- SS Alfredo Amezaga
- C Welington Castillo
- P Matt Garza
Game Time: 3:05 p.m. CDT
Location: Goodyear Ballpark
