The Cubs have been active in free agency so far, but they are likely not done.

The Chicago Cubs have been active so far this offseason, signing pitchers Scott Feldman, Scott Baker and Kyuji Fujikawa and reportedly engaging in trade talks involving Alfonso Soriano. But according to David Kaplan of CSN Chicago, the Cubs are still looking to make further moves.

From talking with a collection of agents and baseball sources over the past few days, the Cubs left Nashville and the annual Winter Meetings with a handful of short term needs on their shopping list.

According to Kaplan, the Cubs are targeting a center fielder so that they can move David DeJesus to right field, which is where they intended to play him when they signed him last offseason. They are also reportedly in the market for another starting pitcher, and will likely be evaluating inexpensive options like Shaun Marcum, Jair Jurrjens and John Lannan. Kaplan also reports that the Cubs are seeking a right handed bat for third base, and may be looking at someone like Jack Hannahan.

Lastly, Kaplan says that the Cubs are hoping to upgrade their bullpen and may be searching for a trade partner for Carlos Marmol.
