Cubs Vs. Cardinals: Chicago Bats Come Alive in 11-4 Drubbing Of St. Louis

A rain delay might have caused some of the fans to lose their enthusiasm about the game, but it brought the Cubs bats back to life, and Matt Grza did enough to earn an 11-4 win over Jake Westbrook and the Cardinals on Wednesday. Starlin Castro broke out of his 2-25 slump by going 4-4 with 3 RBIs. Alphonso Soriano, Koyie Hill and Carlos Pena all added in two RBIs of their own.

But the big story of the night was Garza, who had been struggling so far this season. He sat out during the rain delay, rode the bike to stay warm, and looked very sharp upon his return. He allowed only three hits in five innings and just one earned run while striking out seven. it was just his second win of the year after the Cubs traded a lot to get him in the offseason.
