Rain has forced another postponement for the Cubs, the second of the season after their April 19th game against the San Diego Padres suffered the same fate. That game was made up the very next day as part of a split double-header due to the incompatibility of the schedules of the two teams.
Today’s game, however, will not be made up so quickly. The two clubs have rescheduled the game for Monday, June 27th, a date both teams originally had off. The Rockies will have just finished up a series against the Mets in New York, while the Cubs will have concluded an interleague series against Kansas City.
The Cubs will start a lengthy road trip on Thursday night in Arizona, with Ryan Dempster scheduled to start. First pitch in that game is at 8:40 P.M., CDT.
