Current Knicks guard and former Bull Ronnie Brewer will be out for six weeks after surgery to repair a meniscus tear, according to Howard Beck of the New York Times.

Brewer was drafted with the No. 14 overall pick by the Utah Jazz out of Arkansas. He played two seasons with the Bulls before they declined Brewer's option following the 2011-12 season. He signed with the Knicks in July.
Last season, Brewer averaged 6.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 24.8 minutes with Chicago. He has averaged 9.0 points per game in his career.
