Asik played with the Bulls in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 NBA seasons, logging 148 appearances and only 2 starts. Playing as a member of the lauded "Bench Mob" group, he compiled an average of 8.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per 36 minutes over his first two NBA seasons.
With the departure of Asik, the Bulls will likely be handing the bench role to newly-acquired C Nazr Mohammed.
