Bulls Free Agency Rumors: Michael Redd Or Patrick Beverley Could Round Out Roster

The Chicago Bulls have cut ties with Ronnie Brewer and are looking to trade Kyle Korver, so now they are reportedly pursuing cheaper free agent options like Michael Redd and Patrick Beverley to fill out their backcourt rotation for the 2012-13 NBA season. Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida reported on Thursday that the Bulls are interested in adding Redd to the roster as a cheaper three-point shooting specialist than Korver (the team holds a $5.1 million option for the upcoming season on Korver), but the Phoenix Suns have also shown interest that will intensify if the New Orleans Hornets do indeed match their offer sheet for shooting guard Eric Gordon.

As for the Beverley news, it comes via Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, who says Chicago is busy working out the former second-round pick -- Beverley was taken with the No. 42 overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2009 NBA Draft.
