The general sentiment regarding the Chicago Bulls' selection of Kentucky point guard Marquis Teague with the 29th overall pick in Thursday night's NBA draft appears to be quite positive, which is good news for an organization that hasn't exactly had the best few months.
One of the analysts that likes what the Bulls did on Thursday is ESPN's resident NBA draft guru, Chad Ford:
I love this pick for the Bulls. If Teague had stayed in school one more year, he might have been a top-10 pick. He is super quick, can get to the basket and is emerging as a floor leader. With Derrick Rose out due to injury, this is a nice choice.
Teague still needs to develop as a shooter and continue his improvement with running an offense, but he's the kind of talent that's difficult to pass up when you're selecting with the No. 29 pick.
