It's finally here. The 2012 NBA Draft gets underway tonight at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Coverage begins on ESPN at 6 p.m. local time.
Chicago native Anthony Davis is set to join Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose as the second No. 1 overall selection from our fair city in the last five years. After Davis goes to the New Orleans Hornets, it's anyone's guess how the rest of the draft will break down. Florida guard Bradley Beal, Kentucky wing Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, North Carolina small forward Harrison Barnes and Kansas power forward Thomas Robinson round out the presumed top five selections.
The Bulls hold only one pick, the No. 29 overall selection. Chicago is said to be after a guard with shooting ability. A pair of Vanderbilt players, John Jenkins and Jeff Taylor, are considered to be in the mix. Memphis wing Will Barton and Baylor forward Quincy Miller might also hear their name called by Chicago.
