It's official: Chicago Bulls center Omer Asik will replace injured center Joakim Noah in the Bulls' starting line up for Game 4 of the team's first round playoff match up vs. the Philadelphia 76ers.
Jo is officially out according to Thibs. Omer starts.— Nick Friedell (@ESPNChiBulls) May 6, 2012
Thibodeau has chosen continuity in deciding to start Asik, but if the Bulls continue to struggle mightily with Derrick Rose, Thibodeau may be forced to give a majority of the minutes to more offensive-minded players like Taj Gibson or even Brian Scalabrine. But in the meantime, the Bulls will rely on its vaunted defense, of which Asik is an integral part.
