The Chicago Bulls are playing without All-Stars Derrick Rose and Luol Deng tonight against the NBA's worst team, the Charlotte Bobcats, and thus far Chicago has proven it can handle the handicap. The Bulls will take a 34-20 lead into the second quarter on the road.

Shooting guard Richard Hamilton has eight points on 3-for-3 shooting for Chicago. Center Joakim Noah also has eight points on 4-of-5 shooting. Power forward Carlos Boozer has six for Chicago to go along with three rebounds.
The Bobcats are being led by rookie guard Kemba Walker, who has eight points and two assists at the end of the first quarter. Guard Gerald Henderson has six points. The Bulls shot 15-of-21 from the field (71%), while the Bobcats ended the quarter 7-for-21 from the floor (33.3%).
