Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng is still playing through a wrist injury, and on Sunday night he took a painful shot to the ribs from Ben Gordon. It is not yet known how this injury will affect Deng's availability on Monday or in what little remains of the regular season, and according to the Tribune, Deng and have talked about the forward's role down the stretch.
Sources said Deng and Thibodeau have recently talked about his role down the stretch. Deng emphasized he wants "to keep in playing rhythm" but conceded some rest might be required, especially for the three remaining back-to-back sets of games.
Deng scored just two points on 1-8 against the Pistons.
