Olympic Rosters 2012: Luol Deng To Play For Great Britain's Basketball Team

The Chicago Bulls small forward Luol Deng has reportedly agreed to play on Great Britain's Olympic basketball team. Deng, a dual citizen of South Sudan and the United Kingdom, joins Detroit Pistons Ben Gordon and Charlotte Bobcats Byron Mullens.

Deng has played for the British national basketball since 2007, according to the team's official site, and will likely return to the team's starting lineup in the 2012 London Olympics. Deng has played exceptionally for the Chicago Bulls in the 2011-12 season, and earned his first All-Star game appearance since joining the league in 2004 as a 19-year-old.

The 26-year-old forward has also been struggling with torn wrist ligament for most of the season. Opting to wait until the offseason to perform surgery on the injury, Deng has played much of the year with the tear. It is unclear at this time whether or not his plans to participate in the Olympics will affect his plans for surgery.
