Richard Hamilton Shoulder Injury May Be Serious, Thibs Says Not Just A Stinger

Richard Hamilton lasted about 90 seconds in the Chicago Bulls' 92-72 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday night, as he collided with Roy Hibbert while trying to defend Paul George in pick and roll and immediately grabbed his right shoulder and pulled up limp. The training staff escorted Rip down the tunnel, and he did not return for the remainder of the contest. Various injuries have nagged Hamilton throughout the season, but if he is out an extended period of time the team might have to pursue another shooting guard at the NBA trade deadline.

After the game, head coach Tom Thibodeau did not sound optimistic about the injury:

"He collided and it's a shoulder. I thought it was a stinger. He tried to shake it off. That wasn't the case. We'll have to wait until (Tuesday). Hopefully, he'll be OK."
